Rock Vibrations Entrevista : Tragul

Em certos momentos, nos deparamos com alguns projetos que nos deixam um pouco impressionados, e este caso que iremos abordar é exatamente isso!

O Tragul é um super projeto envolvendo músicos experientes que trazem consigo uma consolidação em sua sonoridade, além da abordagem única de criação para suas canções.

Abaixo, confira a nossa conversa com o líder do projeto, o tecladista Adrian Benegas, falando sobre vários assuntos relevantes :

1 - Iniciando a conversa, poderia nos contar como iniciou o projeto?

R: Sempre sonhei em ter um projeto em que pudesse me expressar livremente, sem pressão, explorando diferentes vertentes artísticas e, o mais importante, um lugar onde pudesse aprender e crescer como artista, o resultado foi o TRAGUL, criado em 2017.

2 - Ter alguns músicos com experiências em algumas bandas consideradas grandes, de certo modo, facilita?
R: Absolutamente, meus colegas de projeto não são apenas músicos experientes, eles são verdadeiramente artistas, versáteis e muito talentosos.

É claro que a experiência é importante quando se fala de produção e coisas assim, mas o lado artístico é mais significativo para mim.

Trabalhar com eles é como ter minhas costas cobertas o tempo todo.

3 - Qual o conceito que a banda pretende levar com estes singles divulgados?Podemos esperar um álbum em breve?
R: Bem, eu adotei esse conceito de ter faixas individuais com a intenção de explorar estradas desconhecidas na cena Metal, acho que o mundo real da internet e das mídias sociais permite isso.

Quero dizer, porque não fazer algo de uma maneira 

diferente? Eu acho que a diversidade é ótima.

Um álbum, em breve? bem, eu amo viver o presente. Eu não sei o que o futuro nos trará.

4 - Falando em single, a canção "Inside the Mirror" tem uma dinâmica e produção sublimes...
Como chegaram neste patamar tão alto?
R: Ei, obrigado! Bem, quando você tem os melhores caras trabalhando com você é mais fácil, você sabe.

Toda a produção veio da própria banda, Zuberoa, Steve, Diego, Oliver e Sander fizeram um ótimo trabalho com suas gravações e arranjos, e no final, o grande Jacob Hansen colocou a cereja no topo do bolo com seu trabalho incrível no mix e master.

5 - Gostam da idéia de rotineiramente lançarem alguns lyric videos para futuros singles?
R: Embora tenhamos lançado principalmente lyric videos, também lançamos um par de vídeos diferentes ("Into the Heart of the Sun" e "Goodbye") com Zuberoa.

Como mencionei antes, não sei o que os próximos anos trarão, mas posso dizer agora que estamos preparando um videoclipe para o single "INSIDE THE MIRROR" com Ingo Spörl, da Hard Media, conhecido por seu trabalho com o Sabaton, Accept, Helloween, Dimmu Borgir, Sonata Arctica, Sirenia e muitos mais.

Então, você pode esperar em breve algo muito legal !!

6 - Quais seriam as influências maiores na sonoridade da banda?
R: Minhas maiores influências no Metal como compositor são Luca Turilli, Timo Tolkki, Tony Kakko e Tuomas Holopainen.

Eu acho que nos meus primeiros anos, eu tomei um pouco de sua influência, mas no final, eu adicionei minhas próprias coisas para criar algo de mim mesmo.

De qualquer forma, na minha opinião, o som real do TRAGUL vem de todos os caras envolvidos.
Zuberoa, Steve, Diego, Sander e Oliver acrescentam às composições que eu faço, o toque final.

Você pode pensar que a composição é o “núcleo” da música, sim, é, mas há muitas maneiras de apresentar uma composição, você pode arruiná-la totalmente ou embelezá-la completamente e eu acho que os caras fazem a segunda.

7 - Como tem sido a resposta do público e da mídia especializada sobre o que fizeram até aqui?
R: Da melhor maneira.
Nós só temos boas críticas desde o início, o que é lisonjeiro, estou feliz com isso.

Este ano foi fantástico, tive a oportunidade de ir a muitos programas de TV no meu país para falar sobre o TRAGUL, também programas de rádio.

Eu fui entrevistado pela METAL HAMMER e o TRAGUL foi destaque em inúmeros sites ao redor do globo.
Então, obrigado a todos os caras por trás da imprensa e aos fãs por tornarem isso ótimo!

8 - Dizem que para sermos reconhecidos, primeiramente temos que fazer sucesso em nossa "terral-natal"... como se sente com as suas canções sendo ouvidas por vários países?
R: Fantástico! Eu me sinto feliz em começar a ser reconhecido aqui no Paraguai e fora, eu sempre sonhei com isso.

Você sabe, como eles dizem, se você sonha grande, você pode alcançá-lo!

Estamos crescendo devagar, mas com passos firmes, em nosso próprio tempo, à nossa maneira, então é ótimo sentir o apoio de todos os seguidores que estão por aí.

Eu já estou querendo começar a conhecer todos os fãs ao redor do mundo e trazer a música do TRAGUL para os palcos algum dia, em breve!

9 - Você lida bem com o Streaming?sabemos que ele nos dá alcances enormes, mas, até que ponto poderá atrapalhar na questão das mídias físicas?
R: Eu me sinto bem sobre isso.

As coisas mudam, anos atrás nós não tínhamos a chance de ouvir música onde quiséssemos, se você quisesse fazer uma playlist você tinha que levar vários CDs ou cassetes ou gravar um, misturando tudo o que você queria ouvir e então começar o processo novamente se você quiser adicionar uma nova música a ela.

Agora é diferente, você pode fazer isso com um simples clique, levar com você muitas playlists para ouvi-la em diferentes momentos e momentos do seu dia.

Então, acho que eles se complementam muito bem e a mídia física é ótima para ter algo de valor, como uma relíquia de seus artistas favoritos.

10 - Finalizando, gostaria de deixar algum recado?
R: Eu só quero convidar todos vocês para ouvir nossa música, estamos em todas as plataformas de streaming e no Youtube.

At certain times, we come across some projects that leave us a bit overwhelmed, and this case we are going to address is just that!

Tragul is a super project involving experienced musicians who bring with them a consolidation in their sonority, as well as the unique approach of creation to their songs.

Below, check out our conversation with the project leader, keyboardist Adrian Benegas, talking about several relevant issues:

1 - Starting the conversation, could you tell us how you started the project?

I’ve always dreamt about to have a project in which I could express myself freely, with no pressure, exploring different artistic sides and the most important thing, a place where I could learn and grow as an artist, the result was TRAGUL, created in 2017.

2 - Have some musicians with experiences in some bands considered great, in a way, facilitates?

Absolutely, my project mates are not only experienced musicians, you know, they are truly artists, versatile and very talented. Of course, the experience is important when you talk about production and stuff like that, but the artistic side is more significant to me. 

Working with them is like having my back covered all the time.

3 - What is the concept that the band intends to take with these released singles? Can we expect an album soon?

Well, I adopted that concept of having individual tracks with the intention to explore unknown roads in the metal scene, I think the actual world of the internet and social media allows it.

I mean, why not make something in a different way?

I think diversity is great.

An album, soon? well, I love to live the present.I don’t know what the future will bring to us.

4 - Speaking in single, the song "Inside the Mirror" has a sublime dynamics and production ... How did they reach this high plateau?

Hey thank you! Well, when you have the best guys working with you is easier, you know.

The whole production came from the band itself, Zuberoa, Steve, Diego, Oliver and Sander made a great work with their recordings and arrangements, and in the end, the great Jacob Hansen put the cherry on the cake with his amazing work on the mix and master.

5 - Do you like the idea of ​​routinely releasing some lyric videos for future singles?

Although we’ve released lyric videos mostly, we’ve also released a pair of different videos (Into the Heart of the Sun and Goodbye) with Zuberoa on it.

As I mentioned before, I don’t know what the coming years will bring but I can say now, that we’re preparing a videoclip for the INSIDE THE MIRROR single with Ingo Spörl from Hard Media known for his work with Sabaton, Accept, Helloween, Dimmu Borgir, Sonata Arctica Sirenia, and many more. So, you can expect soon something very cool!!

6 - What would be the major influences on the sound of the band?

My biggest influences into metal as a songwriter are Luca Turilli, Timo Tolkki, Tony Kakko and Tuomas Holopainen. I think in my early years, I took some of their influence but in the end, I added my own stuff to it to create something of my own.

Anyway, in my opinion the actual sound of TRAGUL comes from all the guys involved. Zuberoa, Steve, Diego, Sander and Oliver adds to the compositions I make the final touch.

You may think the composition is the “core” of the music, yes, it is but there are many ways to present a composition, you can totally ruin it or completely beautify it and I think the guys make the second one.

7 - How has the public and the specialized media responded to what they have done so far?

In the best way. We’ve only good reviews from the beginning which is flattering, I am happy with it.

This year was fantastic I’ve had the chance to go to many TV shows on my country to talk about TRAGUL, also radio shows.

I have interviewed by METAL HAMMER and TRAGUL was featured on innumerable sites around the globe. 

So, thank you to all the guys behind the press and the fans for making this great!

8 - They say that in order to be recognized, we first have to succeed in our "house" ... how do you feel with your songs being heard by several countries?

Fantastic! I feel happy about to start being recognized here in Paraguay and outside, I’ve always dreamt about this. You know, as they say, if you dream big, you can achieve it!

We are growing slowly but with firm steps, in our own time, in our own way so it's great to feel the support from all the followers out there.

I am already desiring to start knowing all the fans around the world and bring TRAGUL’s music to the stages someday soon!

9 - Do you deal well with streaming? We know that it gives us enormous scope, but how much can it interfere with the physical media?

I feel ok about it.

Things change, years ago we hadn’t the chance to listen to music wherever we wanted, if you wanted to make a playlist you had to take with you several CDs or cassettes or record one, mixing all you wanted to listen and then start the process again if you wanted to add a new song to it.

Now it’s different, you can do it with a simple click, take with you a lot of playlists, to listen to it in different moods and moments of your day.

So, I think they complement each other very nicely and the physical media is great to have something of value, like a relic from your favourite artists.

10 - Finishing, would you like to leave a message?

I just want to invite you all to listen to our music, we are on all the streaming platforms and Youtube.
