  Na última sexta, o  Hot Chip divulgou A Bath Full Of Ecstasy, seu brilhante sétimo disco,
 
cristalizando o som pelo qual eles são exaltados - combinando euforia e melancolia com melodias coloridas, vocalizações experimentais e ritmos pop eletrônicos.

Próximo ao show no Glastonbury neste fim de semana  – a banda divulgou o vídeo da faixa “Spell”.
 
Tendo originalmente começado como uma faixa para Katy Perry (Alexis Taylor e Joe Goddard contribuíram para seu álbum de 2017, Witness), “Spell” mostra algumas das produções vocais mais experimentais encontradas em A Bath Full of Ecstasy. Os vocais de Taylor são manipulados para serem lúdicos e livres, sem ofuscar as letras; tocando a luxúria de Prince.

Dirigido por Simon Owens, o vídeo de “Spell” pega a letra “Like a spell you are under | And now I feel your curse / It’s all that I wanted / A memory in reverse / Forever I’m haunted” e distorce em um quarto esquisito e que poderia estar em um Evil Dead;
 
Com um verão cheio de festivais, o Hot Chip irá para a América do Norte em setembro, antes de retornar ao Reino Unido e Europa para suas maiores turnês até agora.
