Há pouco tempo conheci o projeto francês The Pesticides e fiquei realmente curioso sobre o que estavam planejando dentro de sua carreira, quais suas influências e como chegaram a este tipo de Rock alternativo.
Enfim consegui ter contato e descobri uma ótima banda, o mais legal é que a banda se compõe nos vocais por irmãs gêmeas, o que deixa o projeto ainda mais interessante.
Confira logo abaixo a nossa conversa:
1. Quando conheci o projeto, pensei que era apenas um som alternativo de rápida absorção, mas logo percebi que precisava de mais atenção, e foi então que pude entender sua proposta musical. Quando você decidiu montar suas músicas, os significados de cada melodia, vocais, as mesmas que foram gravadas da mesma forma ou você adaptou isso ao longo do tempo para soar diferente?
Para a maioria delas, mantive a mesma melodia. Nosso processo criativo começa escrevendo as letras e depois a melodia vocal. Então, adicionamos guitarra, baixo e bateria. Mas, para alguns deles, como uma parte de 'O que há de errado comigo', tivemos que readaptar a melodia vocal na guitarra. Assim se encaixaria melhor.
2. Sua música é um pouco diferente do que vemos hoje no cenário do rock alternativo, mas acho muito interessante o fato de terem conseguido criar elementos únicos, algo muito complicado neste 2021. Suas influências são parte fundamental de sua música ou vocês tentam usar o máximo de originalidade possível?
Eu cresci com minhas influências. Eles me ajudaram muito. Para alguns deles, eles viveram as mesmas provações que eu, então suas letras foram para mim uma fuga. Mas, acima de tudo, sou autêntica.
Nas minhas letras, falo da minha vida e escolho esse gênero musical porque é o que mais se encaixa nas minhas letras. Então, é original porque minha música reflete minhas experiências pessoais.
3. Existe possibilidade de investimento para o lado visual? eu vejo sua mídia e estão sempre interagindo com fotos e divulgações, o que é ótimo, mas, pensam em algo para divulgar músicas futuras?
Sim, tínhamos trabalhado em um vídeo antes da morte do meu ex-guitarrista, mas esse projeto não pôde ver o dia ... Hoje, queremos lançar um vídeo em uma das faixas do Ep e outro em uma nova composição.
4. Se pensarmos na sua experiência hoje, podemos dizer que estão prontas para um álbum completo em pouco tempo?
Claro que leva dinheiro e tempo, mas pensamos em gravar muitas músicas para os próximos anos. Sim, nós planejamos fazer um álbum. Mas, primeiro lançaremos duas faixas, faremos vídeos delas e depois lançaremos as outras.
5. A divulgação de sua música em rádios, sites e similares tem sido satisfatória?
Você está recebendo o feedback que esperava?
Não recebo nada além de um ótimo feedback. Achei que minha música seria muito indie para algumas estações de rádio, mas me enganei. Muitos apresentadores de rádio de todo o mundo gostam da minha música e alguns até se tornaram fãs.
6. Quem é o responsável pelaa capas de suas músicas?
eu achei muito bacana e alternativa, seguindo um caminho único e original.
Fizemos essas capas nós mesmas.
Usamos o cronômetro da câmera para capturar o momento. Queríamos uma renderização natural e poses não muito congeladas. Também fizemos um banner com o nome da banda porque achamos que era legal e criativo.
7. Sabemos que infelizmente muitas mulheres sofrem com a exposição e acabam sendo julgadas por pessoas mal intencionadas, na música isso não é diferente, mesmo que tenhamos garotas incríveis formando bandas e projetos, e alguns insistem em apenas cometer assédio ou coisas do tipo.. Vocês já tiveram problemas semelhantes?
O que você pode recomendar para meninas que querem entrar na música?
Sim, infelizmente tive que lidar com esse tipo de problema. É patético e degradante. Ignoro todas as propostas indecentes e desprezo todo esse tipo de gente.
Aconselho as mulheres a não deixarem isso acontecer com elas. Aconselho-os a não aceitar propostas indecentes, mesmo que a oferta profissional seja tentadora. E nunca devemos esquecer que essas pessoas podem ser perigosas.
O trabalho é secundário, o mais importante é manter a sua dignidade.
8. Acredito que muitos devem pensar que é complicado trabalhar com uma irmã gêmea porque são ideias semelhantes, mas a meu ver, você lida muito bem com isso, vejo uma grande dinâmica entre vocês e isso é fantástico, é mais um ponto positivo para a sua carreira, além de ser algo único porque não temos tantos projetos com gêmeos. O que você pode dizer sobre isso?
Somos gêmeas muito próximas. Vivemos juntas desde o nosso nascimento, compartilhamos tudo. Realmente tudo. Então, você pode adivinhar que sempre trabalhamos juntos. Conhecemos as qualidades e nossas fraquezas melhor do que ninguém e é isso que nos faz seguir em frente.
9. Você conhece bandas aqui do Brasil? Você pretende vir para a América do Sul um dia?
Infelizmente não. Não conheço nenhuma banda daí, mas estou morrendo de vontade de conhecer algumas.
Eu realmente gostaria de ir para a América do Sul em uma turnê um dia.

I recently met the French project The Pesticides and I was really curious about what they were planning within their career, what their influences and how they came to this kind of alternative rock.
Anyway I managed to have contact and discovered a great band, the coolest thing is that the band is composed on vocals by twin sisters, which leaves the project still more interesting.
Check out our conversation below:
1. When I got to know the project, I thought it was just a fast absorbing alternative sound but I soon realized that I needed more attention, and it was then that I was able to understand his musical proposal. When you decided to put together your songs, were the meanings of each melody, vocals, the same ones that were recorded or did you adapt this over time to sound different?
For most of them, I have kept the same melody. Our creative process starts with writing the lyrics and then the vocal melody. Then, we add guitar, bass and drums. But, for some of them, like a part of 'What's wrong with me', we had to readapt the vocal melody on the guitar. That way it would fit better.
2. Their music is a little different from what we see today in the alternative rock scene but I find it very interesting the fact that they managed to create unique elements, something very complicated in the middle of 2021. Are your influences a fundamental part of your music or do you try to use as much originality as possible?
I grew up with my influences. They have helped me through a lot. For some of them, they lived the same trials than me so their lyrics were for me an escape. But, above all, I am authentic. In my lyrics, I talk about my life and I choose this musical genre because it is the one who better fit with my lyrics. So, it's original because my music reflect my personal experiences.
3. Is there a possibility of investment for the visual side? I see your media and are always interacting with photos and disclosures, which is great, but, think of something video to promote future songs?
Yes, we had worked on a video before the death of my former guitarist, but this project could not see the day ... Today, we want to release a video on one of the tracks of the Ep and another on a new composition.
4. If we think about your experience today, can we say that you are ready for a complete album in a short time? Of course it takes money and time, but they think about recording a lot of songs for the next few years?
Yes, we plan to make an album. But, we will first release two tracks, make videos of them and then release the others.
5. Has the dissemination of your music on radios, websites and the like been satisfactory? Are you getting the feedback you expected?
I get nothing but great feedback. I thought my music would be too indie for some radio stations, but I was wrong. A lot of radio hosts from all over the world like my music and some have even become fans.
6. Who is the person responsible for the covers of your songs? I found them very cool and alternative, following a unique and original.
We made this cover ourselves. We used the camera's timer to capture the moment. We wanted a natural rendering and not too frozen poses. We also made a banner with our band name because we thought it was cool and creative.
7. We know that unfortunately many women suffer from exposure and end up being judged by people with bad intentions, in music this is no different, even if we have amazing girls forming bands and projects, some insist on just committing harassment or things like that. Have you had similar problems? What can you recommend for girls who want to get into music?
Yes, I have unfortunately had to deal with this kind of problem. It's pathetic and demeaning. I ignore all indecent proposals and despise all this kind of people. I advise women not to let this happen to them. I advise them not to accept indecent proposals even if the professional offer is tempting. And we should never forget that these people can be dangerous. Work is secondary, the most important thing is to keep your dignity.
8. I believe that many must think that it is a complicated thing to work with a twin sister because they are similar ideas, but in my view, you deal with it very well, I can see a great dynamic between you and this is fantastic, it’s another positive point for your career, besides being something unique because we don’t have so many projects with twins. What can you say about that?
We are very close twins. We've lived together since our birth, we share everything. Really everything. So, you can guess that, we have always worked together. We know each other's qualities and weaknesses better than anyone else and that's what makes us go forward.
9. Do you know bands here from Brazil? Do you intend to come to South America one day?
Unfortunately not. I don't know any bands from here, but I'm dying to know some. I would really like to go to South America on a tour one day.
