Rock Vibrations Entrevista: Valar Morghulis

Em parceria com a Rock On Agency Italy trazemos até você mais uma entrevista bem legal, desta vez com a banda Valar Morghulis, especificamente com o baixista/vocalista Rob.

1. Como você tem feito as tarefas no meio da pandemia?

A banda passou por muitas adaptações? 

Como todos ao redor do globo tivemos que nos reinventar e nossos planos como banda, durante 2020. 

Ainda hoje ninguém sabe quando será possível tocar ao vivo novamente, então é muito difícil ter uma agenda longa. 

Em colaboração com nossa agência Rock On seguimos divulgando nossa música pela web e concentramos todos os nossos esforços para tornar o nome da Valar Morghulis conhecido em vários países. 

2. “The Origins” é um ótimo registro, tem muitos elementos interessantes, qualidade acima da média ... Quais são as principais ideias que você quer passar para os fãs? Acredito que devem ter muitas influências. 

Obrigado pelo seu apreço. Em primeiro lugar, quero dizer que o EP “The origins” é de alguma forma mais uma “demo profissional” do que um “disco”. 

As três faixas (que foram regravadas para “Fields Of Ashes”) são as primeiras músicas que compomos como uma banda. Precisávamos desse lançamento para ter algo a oferecer, para nos promovermos para gravadoras, clubes ao vivo, agências. 

Sim, temos muitas influências, do metal clássico aos sons mais extremos. Tentamos combiná-los como gostamos, sem adições artificiais. Um pouco old-school na atitude, mas com um som que pode ser ouvido como bastante original. 

3. Em “Fields of Ashes” pude ver uma evolução muito boa, incluindo ótimas melodias. O que você pode nos contar sobre essa nova fase da banda? Nesse novo álbum, você acredita que atingiu o nível planejado?

“Fields of Ashes” é oficialmente nosso primeiro álbum completo. A produção curada por Mattia Stancioiu (Labirinto, Coroa dos Outonos) é absolutamente um grande passo para nós. Coletamos oito músicas que misturam tudo que gostamos: riffs de guitarra pesados, melodias cativantes, gritos e rosnados, e temas épicos que conduzem o ouvinte por todo o álbum. 

Musicalmente, fizemos nosso melhor tentando combinar todos esses elementos e nos sentimos muito orgulhosos disso. Obviamente, há sempre algo que pode ser feito melhor, mas faz parte do processo de aprendizagem na criação de música 

4. “Where the Blackfish Dwell” é uma das faixas mais legais que ouvi nos últimos meses e mantém um nível muito bom com riffs, vocais talentosos e excelentes variações. Ao gravar um novo álbum, podemos esperar algo parecido ou vocês tentarão fazer coisas diferentes, como adicionar novos elementos, por exemplo?

Obrigado novamente por suas palavras. Há alguns meses estamos trabalhando em novas músicas, as “variações excelentes” de que você falou são as coisas que procuramos melhorar. 

Nosso principal objetivo é escrever músicas cada vez melhores, seja uma balada ou uma faixa de metal extremo. Não adicionaremos outro instrumento como teclados ou cordas pré-gravadas. Muitas bandas lideradas por mulheres têm esse tipo de som bombástico, mas, como eu disse antes, somos um metal mais old-school. 

Tentaremos alcançar um nível mais alto de epicidade combinando os vocais femininos e com mais refrão e partes extremas. 

5. Outro fator muito bom é o vídeo que foi lançado recentemente ... Vocês pretendem continuar promovendo vídeo para novas faixas? 

O vídeo é outro de nossos objetivos para o próximo lançamento. Nós conversamos sobre isso, mas temos que coletar mais músicas novas para ter uma visão adequada sobre isso. 

Eu pessoalmente gostaria de fazer um vídeo que não fosse o clássico “a banda toca com várias filmagens”, mas um videoclipe que o conduzisse para a música expandindo as ideias das letras e o clima musical. 

6. O que você acha do momento atual de promoções digitais e pouco interesse por materiais físicos?Sou colecionador e adoro poder ter um CD, mas pelo que vemos isso está se tornando algo raro ... Será que o lado digital será absoluto em algum momento, terminando com os CDs, DVDs ou algo parecido?

Eu também sou um colecionador, de Cds a vinil e fitas, e espero que o formato físico nunca desapareça. 

Eu concordo com você sobre isso. 

Às vezes é difícil encontrar uma loja de música, que foram lugares maravilhosos para compartilhar paixões e conhecer novas pessoas. Muitos anos atrás aqui em Milão, por exemplo, havia muitas lojas de música para todo o tipo de música. Uma loja especializada em punk rock, outra em metal extremo, ou outra em electro-EBM-darkwave. Eles estavam reunindo todos os tipos de jovens. 

Hoje você tem que comprar no bandcamp ou discogs, é mais fácil mas você perde todo o toque humano. 

7. Somos do Brasil e muitos aqui amam bandas de metal, nosso público é muito fanático ... Você conhece nossas bandas? Pensa em tocar na América do Sul?

Os metaleiros brasileiros são conhecidos como os mais loucos de todos os tempos. Adoraríamos tocar lá, mas por enquanto não há planos para isso, se algum promotor estiver lendo essa entrevista pode entrar em contato conosco para conversarmos sobre isso. 

Ao lado do conhecido Sepultura (e projetos relacionados), ou Angra, eu sempre adorei Sarcófago e Ratos de Porão, eles tiveram um impacto enorme no metal extremo mundial. 

Falando sobre as bandas mais recentes, Semblant e Nervosa estão produzindo ótimos produtos sob sua bandeira. 

8. Os vocais femininos para mim deram um toque especial a esse tipo de som e acredito que você deva trabalhar muito nisso, para manter a dinâmica intacta. Na hora de compor, tem uma fórmula para isso ou costuma começar com um riff, uma linha de voz, a letra talvez?

Depende da música, não tem uma fórmula específica. Faixas nascem de maneiras diferentes, algumas por riffs de guitarra, outras por uma melodia vocal ou um tema. 

Dreadfort, por exemplo, foi escrita por nosso guitarrista Luca e nós arranjamos, “A love and battle song” foi escrita por cada um de nós juntando várias ideias. 

Apesar de não haver um método constante, todos nós somos livres para adicionar algo às canções, tanto na composição quanto no arranjo musical.

9. Quais serão os primeiros planos para este ano? Esperamos finalmente voltar a tocar ao vivo para promover “Fields of Ashes” no mundo real. Além disso, temos um novo ensaio fotográfico chegando que definirá o mundo épico de Valar Morghulis e, obviamente, continuaremos trabalhando duro nas músicas para o próximo lançamento

1. How have you been doing the tasks in the middle of the pandemic? Did the band go through many adaptations?

As everyone all around the globe we had to reinvent ourself, and our plans as a band, during the 2020. 

Still today no one knows when will be possible to play live again so it's very difficult have a long time schedule. 

In collaboration with our agency Rock On we kept on spreading our music through the web and concetrate all our efforts to make the name Valar Morghulis known in various country.

2. “The Origins” it is a great record, it has many interesting elements, quality above average ... What are the main ideas that you want to pass on to the fans?I believe that they must have many influences.

Thank you for your appreciation. 

First of all I want to say that “The origins” EP is in some way more a “professional demo” than a “record”. 

The three tracks (that has been re-recorded for “Fields Of Ashes”) are the first songs we composed as a band. 

We needed that release to have something to offer to promote ourself to labels, live clubs, angencies.  

Yes, we have many influences, from classic metal to the more extreme sounds. We try to combine them as we like without artificial additions. A little bit old-school in the attitude, but with a sound that can be heard as quite original.

3. In “Fields of Ashes” I could see a very good evolution, included great melodies. What can you tell us about this new phase of the band?

In this new album, do you believe you have reached the level you planned?

“Fields of Ashes” is officially our first full lenght. The production cured by Mattia  Stancioiu (Labyrinth, Crown of Autumns) is  absolutely a big step forward for us. 

We collected eight songs that mix everything we like: heavy guitar riffs, catchy melodies, screams and growls, and epic themes that leads the listener through all the álbum.

Musically we made our best trying to combine all these elements and we feel very proud about it. 

Obviously there's alway something that can be done better but it's part of the learning process in creating music

4. “Where the Blackfish Dwell” it’s one of the coolest tracks I’ve heard in the last few months and it maintains a very good level with riffs, talented vocals, and excellent variations. When recording a new album, we can expect something like that or will they try to do different things, like adding new elements for example?

Thank you again for you words. From few months we are working on new songs, the “excellet variations” that you talked about are the things that we try to improve.  

Our main goal is to write better and better songs, it will be a ballad or an extreme metal  track. We will not add another instrument as keyboards or pre-recorded strings. 

Many female fronted bands have this type of bombastic sound but, as I said before, we are more old-school metal. We'll try to reach higher level of epicness combining the female vocals and with more chorus and extreme parts.

5. Another very good factor is the video that was released recently ... Do you intend to keep promoting video for new tracks?

The video is another of our goals for  the next release. 

We talked about it but we have to collect more new songs to have a proper view about it. 

I personally would like to make a video that is not the classical “band plays plus various footage” but a videclip that leads you into the song expanding the lyrics ideas and music moods.

6. What do you think about the current moment with digital promotions and little interest in physical materials? I’m a collector and I love being able to have a CD, but from what we see, this is becoming something rare...  Will the digital side be absolute at some point, ending CDs, DVDs or something like that?

I'm a collector too, from Cds to vinyl and tapes, and I hope that the physical format will never fade away. 

I agree with you about it. Sometimes it's difficult to find a music store, which were wonderful places to share passions a meet new peoples. 

Many years ago here in Milan for example there were many music stores for all the kind of music. 

A store specialized in punk rock, another in extreme metal, or another one in electro-EBM-darkwave. They were gathering all the kinds of youth. 

Todays you have to buy on bandcamp or discogs, it's more easy but you lost all the human touch.

7. We are from Brazil and many here love metal bands, our audience is very fanatical ... Do you know our bands? Do you think about playing in South America?

Brazilian metalheads are knows to be the most craziest crowds ever. We would love to play there but for now there are no plans about it, if any promoter is reading this interview can contact us to talk about it. 

Beside the well known Sepultura (and related project), or Angra I always loved Sarcófago and Ratos de Porão, they had an huge impact to the extreme metal worlwide. 

Talking about more recent bands Semblant and Nervosa are producing great stuffs under your flag.

8. The female vocals for me gave a special touch to this type of sound and I believe that you should work hard on that, to keep the dynamics intact. When composing, have a formula for this or do they usually start with a riff, a vocal line, the lyrics maybe?

It's depends by the song, there's no specifical formula. Tracks born in different ways, some by guitar riffs, others by a vocal melody or a theme. 

Dreadfort for example has been wrote by our guitarist Luca and we arranged it, “A love and battle song” has been wrote from everyone of us putting together various ideas. 

Despite there is no a steady method everyone of us is free to add something to the songs, both in composition and musical arrangement.

9. What will be the first plans for this year?

We hope to finally come back to play live to promote “Fields of Ashes” in the real world. 

Beside this we have a new photoshoot coming that will define the Valar Morghulis epic world and obviously we'll keep working hard on the songs for the next release

Knowing new projects is always a pleasant task, so that both you and I readers can have access to thousands of new ideas imposed by the bands we publish here. 

This time, through one of our new partnerships, Rock On Agency Italy, we are pleased to present the band Valar Morghulis, born in Milan, Italy, which brings a good mix of Symphonic / Heavy Metal with heavy and extreme doses in their vocals, in addition to a very good melodic line through the female vocals. 

If in "The Origins" (2018) they showed the power they had in creating consistent tracks, in their most recent record, "Fields of Ashes" (2019), not only maintained the imposed quality but also evolved in production, melody, riffs and even better vocals, inserting extreme elements of great quality, in addition to nuances that sound better with each hearing. 

Whether in the heavy "Where the Blackfish Dwell" or in the cadence with great striking riffs of "A Love and Battle Song" they manage to deliver an infinity of elements that make any Metal lover love immediately, being for me, a band of unquestionable quality.

The MothMan Curse: The Curse - Review

Após um lançamento muito bom intitulado "Hope" em 2018, os italianos do The MothMan Curse entregaram em 2019 um registro superior e cheio de ótimas vibrações.

"The Curse" flerta com muitos parâmetros do Metal, seja pelo lado alternativo, do Thrash, e até do Metalcore/Deathcore, eles impõem a sua música de forma coesa e coerente, trazendo para o público mais uma opção de ótimas canções.

Sua produção é muito boa, os variados elementos aqui inseridos são de bom gosto, os riffs marcantes dão um ponto técnico muito interessante, além dos vocais que sempre fazem um flerte muito bom com o instrumental.

Canções como "Dead Man", "Panik Attack" e "Shut Your Mouth" farão você ficar com o seu pescoço dolorido, mas claro, com a diversão garantida e seus vizinhos surdos hahaha então já sabe, aumente o volume para isto!

No geral, trata-se de um álbum muito bom, músicos comprometidos com o Metal e que merecem a atenção de todos, principalmente se você for adepto a grandes riffs e peso na medida certa (ouça também "Otherside of the Mirror" e I'm Not a Hero" para crer no peso), então, por favor, os recomende.

After a very good release entitled "Hope" in 2018, the Italians of The MothMan Curse delivered in 2019 a superior record and full of great vibrations. 

"The Curse" flirts with many parameters of Metal, be it for the alternative side, of Thrash, and even of Metalcore / Deathcore, they impose their music in a cohesive and coherent way, bringing to the public another option of great songs. 

Their production is very good, the various elements inserted here are of good taste, the striking riffs give a very interesting technical point, in addition to the vocals that always make a very good flirtation with the instrumental. 

Songs like "Dead Man", "Panik Attack" and "Shut Your Mouth" will make your neck sore, but of course, with guaranteed fun and your deaf neighbors hahaha so you know, turn up the volume for this! 

In general, it is a very good album, musicians committed to metal and who deserve everyone's attention, especially if you are adept at great riffs and weight in the right measure (listen also to "Otherside of the Mirror" and I'm Not a Hero "to believe in the weight), so please recommend them.

Oi, eu sou Rat, muito prazer. Não é tão ruim. 

Em nossa cidade não temos grandes problemas. 

Claro que houve um pouco de medo e tristeza 

2 - Conheci seu trabalho recentemente por meio de uma oportunidade de parceria e fiquei muito surpreso com essa qualidade, achei o som que vocês fazem incrível, sou músico, guitarrista e fiquei muito satisfeito com as linhas da guitarra assim como com os vocais e tudo o mais que se comporta muito bem. Como você chegou a esse padrão?Apesar do pouco tempo, você tem uma maneira muito legal de o mundo aplaudir suas ideias ...

Fico muito feliz que você tenha gostado. Normalmente, alguns de nós escrevem um riff (às vezes MJ até músicas inteiras) e então passamos para nós por mensagem. 

Quando já estamos na sala de ensaios, começamos a traçar um roteiro com o que trabalhamos em casa. 

E depois há uma magia que faz tudo soar muito bom :) 

3 - Uma das coisas que mais me impressionou em “The Curse” é a qualidade da produção, a banda soa muito bem e tudo parece ter sido bem planejado .. O que você pode nos contar sobre as gravações e ideias para este álbum?

Depois de Hope, nós queríamos criar algo mais difícil e decisivo. Tanto musicalmente quanto como letras. 

Tiramos todas as frustrações e então The Curse apareceu. 

O estúdio Fat Plant e a Exile Media também fizeram um ótimo trabalho, sempre acompanhando os tempos com os equipamentos. 

4 - Se fizermos uma rápida comparação com "Hope", o que você acha que evoluiu? Ambos são ótimos, mas devo dizer que o registro mais atual consegue superar em alguns elementos. 

Hope foi gravada e editada em casa em 3 meses. 

Em comparação somos outro grupo :) 

Todos nós começamos a estudar nosso instrumento, chegando a ter um comando melhor. Na minha opinião, isso significa muito. 

Esperamos fazer isso para todos os álbuns :) 

5 - Falando sobre suas artes, elas são escolhidas de acordo com as músicas ou gostam de dar um conceito único para isso?Você participa ativamente disso ou prefere deixar o artista criar? 

Neste caso eu só posso falar da voz. Não sei como são escolhidos. Eventualmente, ensaiamos a música e descobrimos como ela pode soar melhor. 

Na elaboração das músicas participamos sempre. 

6 - Nós somos do Brasil e tenho certeza que você deve gostar de algumas de nossas bandas, certo?

Você já pensou em fazer algo pela América do Sul? 

Nossos fãs são loucos e amam rock. 

Talvez :) você tem bandas muito boas e eu gosto de muitas delas. Por exemplo, ao vivo fazemos o cover de Roots Bloody Roots :) 

7 - Você tem assistido muito conteúdo na internet nos últimos meses acredito que nessa época também possa ter diferentes inspirações e descobertas de novas bandas ... Você gosta de procurar novas bandas? 

Estamos sempre procurando por novas inspirações e ouvindo. Somos todos muito apaixonados pelo mundo da música em geral 

8 - Vemos que o streaming está cada vez mais tomando conta do mundo e a música não é mais algo para ser consumido apenas em um CD ou LP ... Gosto de materiais físicos, agradeço isso, mas, será que a indústria vai acabar com o lado físico para que tudo fique só no lado digital?

Esse é um assunto muito delicado. Infelizmente, acho que sim. E honestamente, sinto um pouco. A internet é um mar de músicas e leva muito pouco para que sua música se perca e seja esquecida. Quando você é pequeno como nós, quero dizer. 

Os grandes sempre ficarão no topo, embora eu ache que o digital deu uma grande redução nos ganhos.

9 - Quais são os próximos planos da banda?

Estamos escrevendo o novo álbum. Um pouco devagar porque infelizmente não podemos nos ver. Sempre temos a esperança de poder voltar a tocar ao vivo, porque é disso que realmente sentimos falta. 

10 - Muito obrigado pela atenção, gostaria de deixar uma mensagem final?

1 - Have you dealt well with the pandemic and this worldwide shutdown? Italy was hit hard during the first wave of the virus and it must have caused a lot of problems...

Hi, I'm Rat, great pleasure.  Not too bad.  In our town we haven't any big problems.  Of course there was a bit of fear and sadness

2 - I got to know your work recently through a partnership opportunity and I was very surprised by such quality, I found the sound they make incredible, I am a musician, guitarist, and I was very satisfied with the guitar lines as well as the vocals and everything else that behaves very well. How did you arrive at this pattern? Despite the short time, you have a very cool way for the world to applaud your ideas...

I am very glad you appreciated it.  Usually some of us write a riff (sometimes MJ even whole songs) and then we pass it to us by message.  When we are in the rehearsal room we begin to draw up a guideline with what we have worked on at home.  And then there is a magic that makes everything sound very good :)

3 - One of the things I was most impressed about “The Curse” it's the quality of the production, the band sounds great and everything seems to have been well planned ... What can you tell us about the recordings and ideas for this album?

After Hope we wanted to create something harder and more decisive.  Both musically and as lyrics.  We pulled out all the frustrations and so The Curse came out.  

The Fat Plant studio and Exile Media also did a great job, always keeping up with the times with the equipment.

4 -  If we make a quick comparison with "Hope", what do you think has evolved? Both are great but I must say that the most current record manages to overcome in some elements.

Hope was writed recorded e edite in home in 3 months.  In comparison we are another group :) We all started to study our instrument, coming to have a better command.  

This in my opinion means a lot.  

We hope to do this for every album :)

5 -  Talking about your arts, are they chosen according to the songs or do they like to give a unique concept for that? Do you actively participate in this or prefer to let the artist create?

 In this case I can speak only of the voice.  I don't know how they are chosen.  Eventually we rehearse the song and find out how it can sound better.  In the drafting of the songs we always participate.

6 - We are from Brazil and I am sure you must like some of our bands, right? Do you ever think of doing something for South America? Our fans are crazy and love rock.

Maybe :) you have really good bands and I like a lot of them.  For example in live we do the cover of Roots Bloody Roots :)

7 - Have you been watching a lot of content on the internet in recent months? I believe that at this time you can also have different inspirations and discoveries from new bands ... Do you like to look for new bands?

We are always looking for new inspiration and listening.  

We are all very passionate about the music world in general

8 - We see that streaming is increasingly taking over the world and music is no longer something to be consumed only on a CD or LP ... I like physical materials, I appreciate that, but, will the industry end the physical side so that everything is only on the digital side? 

This is a very delicate matter.  Unfortunately, I think so.  

And honestly, I'm a little sorry.  

The internet is a sea of songs and it takes very little for your music to get lost and forgotten.  When you are small like us I mean.  

The big ones will always stay on top even though I think digital has given a big cut on earnings

9 - What are the band's next plans? Do you want something immediately?

We are currently writing the new album.  A little slowly because unfortunately we can't see each other.  

We always have the hope that we can go back to playing live, because that is what we really miss.

Madvice: Everything Comes To An End - Review

Conheci o ótimo trabalho dos italianos da Madvice através de um contato via email da Rock On Agency Italy e logo me surpreendi com tamanha qualidade e destreza em sua música.

Neste mês de dezembro se completa 2 anos do lançamento de "Everything Comes To An End" um debut de respeito, repleto de ótimas faixas e boas idéias, sendo seu foco o Death Metal melodico, sem deixar o lado acessível e atual, além de algumas boas referências ao Thrash Metal.

Em termos de produção está impecável, tudo soa muito bem e clean, os vários detalhes inseridos com suas melodias cativantes fazem deste um registro marcante.

No geral, devo dizer que eles podem alcançar o mundo rapidamente com suas idéias, suas músicas são ótimas e mantém um nível elevado a todo instante, principalmente se você for adepto ao lado extremo do Metal.

I got to know the great work of the Italians at Madvice through an email contact from Rock On Agency Italy and soon I was surprised with such quality and skill in their music. 

This December marks the 2nd anniversary of the release of "Everything Comes To An End", a respectable debut, full of great tracks and good ideas, with melodic Death Metal as its focus, without leaving the current and accessible side, in addition to some good references to Thrash Metal. 

In terms of production it is impeccable, everything sounds great and clean, the various details inserted with its captivating melodies make this a striking record. 

In general, I must say that they can reach the world quickly with their ideas, their music is great and maintains a high level at all times, especially if you are adept at the extreme side of Metal.

Rock Vibrations Entrevista: Madvice

Em parceria com a Rock On Agency tivemos a oportunidade de entrevistar a banda Madvice.

Abaixo, você pode conferir a conversa com Maddalena, guitarrista da banda:

1 - Como têm sido os últimos meses com a pandemia mundial?muitas adaptações?

A sensação é que perdemos um ano da nossa vida, como se eles tivessem nos congelado, mas permanecendo conscientes. O resultado é que estamos todos mais velhos, mas é como se não tivéssemos experimentado isso este ano. 

2 - “Everything Comes To An End” completou dois anos neste dezembro e é ótimo, mostra uma banda coesa, faixas muito boas e bem produzidas, e mesmo tendo meu primeiro contato recente, achei incrível. 

Você pretende manter esse registro como base para o próximo ou está imaginando algo diferente? 

Obrigada. Como todos os primeiros passos, "ECTAE" ajudou-nos a ir um pouco mais longe e a trabalhar a nossa identidade, que espero venha a revelar-se no próximo trabalho. 

Não vamos mudar o log, mas certamente não queremos fazer uma fotocópia do álbum anterior. Estamos nos concentrando no que aprendemos e amadurecemos sobre nós mesmos e no que fazemos de melhor, tentando não nos repetir. 

3 - Quais são suas maiores influências?eu vejo que existem muitas dinâmicas interessantes em seu som e fiquei muito satisfeito que os vocais tenham uma conexão natural.

Cada um de nós tem sua própria formação musical, que inevitavelmente passou a fazer parte de Madvice. 

Nosso ponto de encontro é certamente o Death Metal melódico, mas Asator (vocalista) colocou o Black, Raffaele (baixista) e eu trouxemos o Thrash e Marco (baterista) é o mais "moderno" de nós, devido também à sua pouca idade. 

4 - “Rebirth” e “Vengeance” são as faixas que mais admiro, entregam exatamente o tipo de Metal que ouço no meu dia-a-dia e acho importante que tenham feito algo pesado e acessível ... Já teve o apoio esperado?acredito que este álbum rendeu ótimas críticas. 

Como principal compositora das canções, “Pesado e acessível” é exatamente o objetivo que almejo. 

Estou firmemente convencida de que a música extrema não precisa ser difícil e estou muito feliz que isso seja apreciado pelos ouvintes. 

Para uma estreia, absolutamente não podemos reclamar. 

Temos consciência de que os tempos mudaram, que há uma sobrecarga de informações e que não conseguimos mais absorvê-las. Não poderíamos ter esperado mais. 

Mas agora temos que trabalhar muito para manter vivo o interesse estimulado e ir mais longe. 

5 - O que você acha de um conteúdo que está cada vez mais digital hoje? Eu adoro materiais físicos mas vejo que o streaming tem dominado tudo, então isso vai acabar com o lado físico um dia?

Do jeito que as coisas vão, tudo sugere que vai ser assim, o mundo está cada vez mais digitalizado e as pessoas têm cada vez menos tempo (ou talvez apenas desejo) para se sentar na poltrona e ouvir música de forma descontraída. 

Mas a história também ensina que tudo é circular e que o que parece acabado, volta. Por isso espero que deixemos de viver a música de uma forma tão passiva e impalpável, até porque então não haverá mais, já que os músicos não ganharão um cêntimo. 

6 - A versão de "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" foi incrível e é uma das coisas mais legais que ouvi nos últimos tempos ... Quando você compõe, procura uma fórmula ou conceito específico?

Como eu disse antes, eu realmente gosto da ideia de que mesmo a música extrema é cativante, reconhecível e vibrante. 

Uma música pra mim deve fluir bem, mesmo que o cantor esteja gritando como se estivessem roubando o carro na frente dos olhos dele (muitos risos).

Revisitar os acertos é como caminhar por um caminho já cruzado. As pegadas são suas, mas antes de você alguém adivinhou o caminho! 

7 - Você conhece o cenário rock brasileiro? Temos muitas bandas legais e fãs realmente loucos. Em algum momento, você está pensando em fazer algo na América do Sul? 

Não posso negar que a palavra "Brasil" me lembra Sepultura e Nervosa, mas acho que há muito mais música de qualidade! 

Adoraríamos ir além da Europa e tocar por aí. Se tudo corresse bem, provavelmente teríamos vindo este ano, mas alguém (ou algo) decidiu que ainda não era a hora ... 

8 - As pessoas se adaptaram durante a pandemia e isso trouxe uma gama enorme de vidas no Instagram e no Facebook, acredito que muitos ganharam um pouco mas, para o Rock, o contato pessoal sempre foi algo natural e necessário. Quando tudo isso acabar, você acredita que os shows vão mudar?

Eu realmente espero que não! Não há música mais física do que Rock, você simplesmente não pode confiná-la a um streaming. Precisamos de interação com o público, senão tudo fica ridículo e falso! 

Provavelmente continuará assim por mais algum tempo, também porque vai demorar algum tempo até que os locais se recuperem da crise, e certamente não haverá espaço para todos, mas tenho certeza que voltaremos a tocar do modo antigo. 

9 - Quais são seus próximos planos? Espero que esteja pensando em um novo material para 2021, fiquei muito animado para aprender mais sobre suas idéias musicais.

Temos tantas músicas novas no quintal e estamos apenas esperando o momento certo para lançá-las, para poder fazer uma promoção adequada e trazê-las ao vivo.

10 - Muito obrigado por sua atenção, gostaria de deixar uma mensagem final?

Obrigada pelo espaço que nos deu e suas belas palavras, e quero convidar seus leitores a ouvir nossas músicas, e apoiar o underground comprando o Merch.

1 - How have the last few months been with the world pandemic? Many adaptations?

The feeling is that we have wasted a year of our life, as if they had frozen us, but remaining conscious. 

The result is that we are all older but it’s as if we had not experienced it this year.

2 – “Everything Comes To An End” completed two years this december and it's great, and shows a cohesive band, very good and well-produced tracks, and even though I had my first recent contact, I found it incredible. Do you intend to keep this record as a basis for the next one or are you imagining something different?

Thank you. Like all first steps, "ECTAE" has helped us to go a little further and work on our identity, which I hope will come out in the next work. 

We are not going to change log but we certainly do not want to make a photocopy of the previous album. 

We are focusing on what we’ve learned and matured about ourselves and what we do best, trying not to repeat ourselves.

3 - What are your biggest influences? I see that there are many interesting dynamics in your sound and I am very pleased that the vocals have a natural connection.

Each of us has his own musical background, which inevitably went to be part of Madvice. 

Our meeting point is certainly melodic Death Metal, but Asator (singer) put the Black, Raffaele (bass player) and me brought the Thrash and Marco (drummer) is the most "modern" of us, due also to his young age.

4 – “Rebirth” and “Vengeance” are the tracks that I admire the most, they deliver exactly the type of Metal that I hear in my daily life and I think it's important that you have done something heavy and accessible...  Have you had the expected support? I believe that this album has delivered great reviews.

As the main composer of the songs, "Heavy and accessible" is exactly the goal that I am aiming at. 

I am firmly convinced that extreme music doesn’t have to be difficult, and I am very happy that this thing is appreciated by listeners.

For a debut, we absolutely cannot complain. We’re aware that times have changed, that there’s an overload of informations and that we are no longer able to absorb them. We could not have expected more. But now we have to work hard to keep alive the interest stimulated and go further.

5 - What do you think about content that is increasingly digital today? I am a lover of physical materials but I see that streaming has dominated everything, so will this end the physical side one day?

The way things are going, everything suggests that it will be like this, the world is increasingly digitized and people have less and less time (or maybe just desire?) to sit in the armchair and listen to music in a relaxed way. But history also teaches that it is all circular and that what seems finished then returns. 

So I hope that we stop living the music in such a passive and impalpable way, also because then there will not be any more, since the musicians will not earn a cent.

6 - The version of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" was amazing and it's one of the coolest things I've heard in recent times ... When you compose, do you look for a specific formula or concept?

As I said before, I really like the idea that even extreme music is catchy, recognizable and humming. A song for me must flow nicely, even if the singer is screaming as if they were stealing the car in front of his eyes ahahaha! 

Revisiting the hits is like walking on a path already crossed. The footprints are yours but before you someone else guessed the way!

7 - Do you know the Brazilian rock scene? We have a lot of cool bands and really crazy fans. At some point, are you thinking of doing something in South America?

I can’t deny that the word "Brazil" reminds me of Sepultura and Nervosa, but I guess there’s a lot more quality music! 

We would love to go beyond Europe and come play in your parts. If everything went smoothly, we probably would have come this year, but someone (or something?) decided it wasn’t time yet...

8 - People adapted during the pandemic and this brought a huge range of lives on Instagram and Facebook, I believe many have won a little but, for Rock, personal contact it was always something natural and necessary. When all this is over, do you believe the shows will change?

I really hope not! There is no music more physical than Rock, you just can’t confine it to a streaming. We need interaction with the public, otherwise everything becomes ridiculous and fake! 

It will probably go on like this for a while longer, also because it will be some time before the venues recover from the crisis, and certainly there will be no space for everyone, but I’m sure that we will go back to playing the old-fashioned way.

9 - What are your next plans? I hope you are thinking about new material for 2021, I was really excited to learn more about your musical ideas.

We have so many new tunes in the yard and we are just waiting for the right time to get them out, to be able to make a proper promotion and bring them live.
